The ESCAPISM Project Came First in The Foundation Wadhwani Competition

We are so excited to announce that The ESCAPISM project, presented by a group of three students from the School of Applied Arts, has won the Foundation Wadhwani competition among universities from the Middle East and obtained international certificates accredited by the foundation. Moreover, the project has been qualified for the final competition along with international students within the training of the Foundational Course in Entrepreneurship.

The students were taught and trained by Dr. Nisreen Ahmed Abbas, an international trainer in entrepreneurship and acting head of the Economics Department at BUC, with the help of Dr. Nourhan Hilal, School of Applied Arts, and TA Noha Gamal, School of Business and Economics.

This is within the international cooperation agreement signed between Foundation Wadhwani and Badr University in Cairo in 2019, through the university’s TICO office.

The agreement was reactivated by Prof. Amr El-Atreby, Vice President for Graduate Studies, Research, and International Cooperation in coordination with the Regional Director and Dr. Gihan Hamza, Director of the TICO Office, in November 2020.

A plan was set to teach this program in all faculties of Badr University, starting from the first semester of the academic year (2021/2022). While this movement contributes to raising the international classification of BUC as a university that encourages entrepreneurship as well as training, supporting, and building future entrepreneurs.
