Under the patronage of Professor Fawzi Torkey, President of Badr University in Cairo, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences cooperated with a psychiatric hospital and rehab center. This Organizing training aims at nourishing the practical part of the school’s curriculum. Following the Protocol of Cooperation between the University and the Hospital, students have weekly visits to the hospital; to learn about all its departments and to participate in its activities. Students also participate in sessions with patients and in the writing of psychosocial reports. Our students expressed their pleasure at the university’s willingness to prepare and train them and provide them with the specialized skills and competencies necessary for professional practice and work in the field of mental health and addiction treatment
