Badr University in Cairo Launches the Second Annual Film Festival in Honor of the Late Actor Mostafa Fahmy
In the presence of a distinguished group of cinema and television stars—and under the patronage of Dr. Hassan El-Kalla, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Ashraf El-Shihy, President of Badr University in Cairo and former Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Wael Anany, Dean of The School of Filmmaking and Performing Arts, Prof. Dr. Ramy Binyamin, Vice Dean, and Dr. Ayman Abu El-Makarem, Festival President, inaugurated the second annual Badr University Student Film Festival.
This year’s edition is dedicated to the memory of the late actor Mostafa Fahmy, in tribute to his rich artistic legacy.
A special segment was dedicated to honoring the late actor Soliman Eid, recognizing his enduring legacy and contributions to the arts, with the presence of his son to receive the tribute on his behalf.
The opening ceremony featured a special musical performance by the Orchestra of the Higher Institute of Music – The Conservatoire, followed by an awards segment honoring a group of leading cinematic stars:
