Overview

We are proud to announce a historic milestone: Badr University in Cairo (BUC), in collaboration with the City University of New York (CUNY), is launching a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree — the first program of its kind in Egypt, the region, and globally for CUNY.

This prestigious Master’s degree is officially issued by CUNY, an American university ranked #16 nationwide out of 219 public health programs by U.S. News & World Report, placing it in the top 7% across the United States. For the fifth consecutive year, CUNY has also been recognized as the #1 public school of public health in the tri‑state area (NY–NJ–CT).

What makes this program truly unique is its exclusive pathway for BUC undergraduate students worldwide: you can begin your first year of the MPH during your final undergraduate year, accelerating your academic journey and transitioning seamlessly into graduate‑level study.

By combining CUNY’s international leadership in public health with BUC’s pioneering vision, this collaboration equips you to tackle pressing health challenges, strengthen healthcare systems, and drive sustainable improvements across communities.
