in New York City, USA.

● Master of Public Health (MPH)
● Master of Science (MS)

Overview

We are proud to announce a historic milestone: Badr University in Cairo (BUC) has partnered with the City University of New York Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy (CUNY SPH), to offer a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree to BUC students — the first collaboration of its kind in Egypt, the region, and globally for CUNY SPH.

This prestigious master’s degree is officially issued by CUNY SPH, an American university ranked #18 nationwide out of 224 public health programs by U.S. News & World Report, placing it in the top 8% across the United States. For the sixth consecutive year, CUNY SPH has also been recognized as the #1 public school of public health in the tri‑state area (New York–New Jersey–Connecticut). All CUNY SPH programs are fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), the accrediting body of public health programs across the world.

What makes this program truly unique is its fully online, flexible, accelerated 4+1 structure:  eligible undergraduate BUC students can begin their graduate MPH coursework with CUNY SPH as early as the third year of their undergraduate degree at BUC, accelerating their academic journey and transitioning seamlessly into graduate‑level study, finishing their MPH in as little as one year after completing their BUC degree. Students may complete up to 18 graduate credits of their master’s degree with CUNY SPH while studying as BUC undergraduates.

By combining CUNY SPH’s international leadership in public health with BUC’s pioneering vision, this collaboration equips students to tackle pressing health challenges, strengthen healthcare systems, and drive sustainable improvements across communities in Egypt, the region, and the world.
