Lieutenant General Osama Al Mandouh

Lieutenant General Osama Al Mandouh is an Egyptian polling officer, born in Dakahlia Governorate. He graduated from the Military College in December 1967 and was one of the heroes of the 6th October 1973 war, in which he participated with the rank of Captain.  In recognition of his heroic actions during the war, he was awarded the Military Star Medal.

In 1978 he joined General Intelligence, during which he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ain Shams University, and served in several positions until he was appointed as the General Intelligence 1st Agent. He received a medal for the length of his service working in the diplomatic corps in Nigeria as the Adviser to the Egyptian Embassy in Lagos and in Israel as Consul General. He received the Order of Merit of the first class in 2012.

He was the president of several companies including the Egyptian Company for Medical Services and during the rehabilitation of the Nile Valley Company.

He has documented his experience during the 6th October war in a book titled, General Osama Al Mandouh: Behind Enemy Lines, which was published on the 44th anniversary of the 6th October war‘s great victory.
