HE. Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab

H.E. Engineer Ibrahim Mahlab has been the Group Executive Director of Bayt El Khebra Group since September 2018. He was formerly the Presidential Assistant for Strategic & National Projects. He served as the Prime Minister of Egypt (2014 to 2015) and also served as the Minister of Housing in 2013. Other positions in which he has served in include CEO of Abdullah A.M Al-Khodari Sons Company, Saudi Arabia (2012 – 2013); Chairman and CEO of Arab Contractors, and Osman Ahmed Osman and Co. since November 2001.

Eng. Mahlab joined Arab Contractors Company in 1972. He has previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of Abdullah A. M. Al-Khodari Sons Company. He was also the former manager of the Bridge Department since December 1994; and served as Technical Manager of Saudi Arab Contractors Company from 1985 to 1987 in which he managed multiple construction projects including bridges, tunnels, sports buildings, monuments restoration, and power plants.

Eng. Mahlab serves as the Chairman of the Arab Contractors Investments Company, the Arab Contractors Employees Insurance Fund, and the Arab Contractors Sporting Club. Eng. Mahlab also served as Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Co. since February 1997 and served as its Director since January 1996. 

Moreover, he served as Vice Chairman of the Egyptian Federation of Construction & Building Contractors and Vice Chairman of the Association of Enterprises for Environmental Conservation. He served as Director of the Civil Engineering Studies & Researches Center in the Faculty of Engineering at Cairo University, the Building & Housing Researches Center; the Governors of the Arab Water Council; El Nasr Castings; Suez Canal Bank, and; as a Trustee of the French University. 

Eng. Mahlab is a member of the International Association for Bridges and Structural Engineers (I.A.B.S.E) in Zurich, Switzerland, the Civil Engineers Community, the Egyptian-French Presidential Council, Club d’Affaires Franco; the Egyptian/American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt (AmCham), the French University Sponsor Council, and the High Council for Policies – National Democratic Party. He holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Cairo University, 1972.
